The officers gave chase, catching up with one suspect on foot on RondeboschBridge, while the other 3 suspects made a quick getaway in a silver Tazz. The officers radioed the description of the car and the fleeing suspects to GSCID ops.

Together with Contract Supervisor, Leon Kros of the GSCID, Charl Brooks and several other GSCID patrol officers gave chase, eventually pulling the vehicle over in the Main Road outside Thandokhulu School.  SAPS Mowbray were informed and responded immediately, resulting in the arrest of these 3 further suspects who are also presently in jail pending further investigation of the crime.
