Every year the GSCID hosts a Christmas party for all the homeless clients on the Straatwerk programme within the GSCID precinct to say thank you for their hard work, dedication and contribution to keeping the streets clean and the area free of graffiti.

The event was hosted on 9 December with the homeless clients singing, dancing and enjoying the delicious food provided by Pick n Pay Observatory.

The party was the culmination of the Christmas Bucket Gift Drive. The buckets contained food essentials and treats and were handed out to the party attendees.

The GSCID extends grateful thanks to Pam Golding, Monica Sutherland, SAPS and Manu Wope for attending and contributing to the Christmas party as well as Pick n Pay for providing the décor, food and gifts for the homeless clients. Without the support of these caring organisations and community members, the GSCID would not have been able to host such a successful event.

Enormous gratitude to all involved in helping to make the party for the homeless memorable!
