On Tuesday, 25 April, the GSCID team took to the Main Road armed with grey water they have been collecting to bring life back to the trees on the Main Road, in front of the GSCID offices, as well as in the UCT garden.

After four weeks of collecting grey water from anyone willing to donate, the GSCID team ended up with a total of 108.5 litres of water.

This is only the beginning of the grey water drive as collection of grey water will continue until Western Cape dam levels have increased to a consistent level and water restrictions are no longer in place.

All donations of grey water are welcome and may be dropped off at the GSCID office on 93 Main Road, Mowbray.

Seen below are the GSCID team, Chrysalis Academy students as well as Securitas members and a volunteer from the City of Cape Town watering trees and plants in the GSCID precinct with grey water.
