In a recent email to the GSCID, local resident Mr Sven Oberg expressed his thanks and appreciation to the GSCID for the removal and clean up of graffiti at Mowbray railway station and subway, which he says, when he arrived at the station that morning, he saw all the graffiti was gone and “it looks so much better!” Mr Oberg paid tribute to Straatwerk, the GSCID’s cleaning service provider, who he said “had done a fantastic job.”

Anthony Davies, CEO of the GSCID remarked: “We are proud to be associated with Straatwerk, who run a job creation initiative centred on employing homeless people within the area to undertake tasks such as graffiti removal, weeding of sidewalks and street cleaning, and in the process give those involved a hand up and  the means to a better way of life.”
