Nina Farrell and Ingrid Frieslaar (GSCID Social Outreach Manager) display the items that were contributed by Sylvia Alexander and her community.

The GSCID has been overwhelmed with the ongoing generosity and support from the community within the GSCID precinct and beyond.

One example of such generosity is Sylvia Alexander. Sylvia is from the Mitchells Plain community and heard about the initiative through GSCID PA, Nina Farrell.

She spread the word to ladies in her community about the GSCID Women’s Day Hygiene Drive who then joined together to collect and donate items toward the drive. Sylvia received an excellent response in terms of donations in support of the initiative.

Although the women’s day drive hygiene packs have already been distributed, the latest donation will be supplied to homeless women who the GSCID assists in relocating and reuniting with their families.

The GSCID would like to thank the ladies who supported this worthy cause.
