On Wednesday, 18 December 2013, Straatwerk, the GSCID’s dedicated cleaning services provider, hosted a Christmas party at the Mowbray Town Hall. The event was organised by the GSCID’s Social Outreach Manager, Ingrid Frieslaar and was attended by the staff of Straatwerk, GSCID, Pick n Pay Observatory and Rondebosch  and a few members of the public.

Platters of sandwiches and juice were donated by Pick n Pay Observatory and Rondebosch; the GSCID provided chips and sweets and Andre Burg, a Mowbray community member, provided apples and oranges. Ward Councillor Brett Herron kindly organised the use of the hall for free.

GSCID CEO, Anthony Davies, opened the event by welcoming everyone.
